smaller rooms.

it’s been a while since i wrote here.

i spent the last stretch writing a book. the kind that asks for your full attention. the kind you don’t narrate while you’re still inside it. the kind you protect until it’s finished becoming itself.

that book became the center of everything.

i also started a newsletter. and in the process, i realized i wanted a smaller room. a targeted group. people who opted in. not a public bulletin board where former friends can lurk quietly and collect material.

that part matters.

there are things i wanted to say without imagining who might screenshot them, misread them, or recognize themselves and feel weird about it. there are thoughts that don’t need to be addressed to the entire internet. some writing wants witnesses, not an audience.

so i went where that was possible.

this space is public. searchable. permanent. which makes it useful, but not ideal for everything. i needed somewhere else to be more precise. more honest. more… unbothered by who might be watching.

the blog is where i talk around things. the book is where i said the quiet parts out loud. and the newsletter is where i show up weekly like, “anyway, here’s a thought i probably should’ve kept to myself.”

this blog may never be the main character again. and that’s fine. it’s more like the friend you meet for coffee who knows everything and doesn’t need updates.

anyway. more soon. probably inconsistently. definitely honestly.

xo.
