these are the contents of my head.

i’m shirin. writer, truth-teller, with calculated candor and a heart of (rose) gold.

this blog (sdinsd – my initials, my city) is where i put the thoughts that won’t stay quiet. no filter, no performance, no pretense.

i’ve been writing since i could hold a pen. started with diaries hidden under my mattress, graduated to words that take up space in the world without apology. i’m an introvert who occasionally plays extrovert when the subject (or caper) interests me enough.

oh, and if you like what you read here, you’ll love my book, i wish i was worse. it’s a memoir that balances sarcasm, humor, and vulnerability to explore life’s messy, beautiful contradictions. it’s the story of embracing imperfection, rejecting norms, and realizing that being ‘worse’ at meeting others’ expectations means being better at living your own truth.

everything here is raw. sometimes funny, occasionally brutal, always honest.

if that makes you uncomfortable, you’re probably not my audience.

if it feels like recognition, welcome home.
